The painting is unique in its creation.
A very different, uncommon and difficult form of art.
The artist uses his finger nails, most importantly the right thumb, to draw lines on the paper such that the image is embossed.
This carving needs to be done on the back of the paper, which means that the image has to be drawn as a mirror-image of what the actual painting should be.
What most of us find difficult to imagine, this artist sketches out from his imagination.
These paintings are done mostly on a small size paper, as large size means that the paper has to be rolled up, and image has to be done in steps, which increses the difficulty many-fold.
Once the embossing is completed, the next step is to color the image.
This is done by blowing powder paint on to the paper, and rubbing it with a soft cloth or cotton to give it the desired shade.
This artwork is 100% hand(Read Nail)- made and a treat to own.
Painting size: 5.5 x 3.5 inch.
Framed Size: 8 x 6 inches.
